Terms of Service
1. What Styliq Is
Styliq is a peer-to-peer streetwear and sneaker rental platform based in Jaipur, India. We connect people who own clothing/sneakers they're willing to rent out ("Owners") with people who want to rent them for a weekend ("Renters"). Styliq facilitates the connection and takes a service fee — we are not the owner of the items listed, and we don't take physical custody of them.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, list an item, or book a rental on Styliq. By creating an account, you're confirming that you meet this requirement.
3. Accounts
You need an account to list an item or request a rental. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for anything that happens under your account. You must provide accurate information — a working phone number and a real name, at minimum — since this is how coordination between Owners and Renters actually happens.
4. Listing an Item
By submitting an item, you confirm that you own it (or have the right to rent it out), that the photos and description are accurate, and that it's in the condition you've described. Styliq reviews every submission before it goes live and reserves the right to reject or remove any listing for any reason, including — but not limited to — inaccurate information, inappropriate content, or suspected counterfeit items.
5. Renting an Item
Rental requests made through the site are coordinated over WhatsApp — this is where you confirm details, arrange hand-off, and complete payment via UPI. Styliq does not process payments directly. Once you request an item through the site, it's temporarily marked unavailable to prevent double-booking while the request is worked out.
6. Cancellations
Either party can cancel a pending request before it's confirmed and paid for. Once payment has been made and the item handed off, cancellation terms are whatever you and the other party agree to — Styliq is not a party to that agreement and doesn't guarantee or enforce refunds beyond what's stated in the Rental Agreement tab.
7. Prohibited Conduct
- Listing counterfeit or stolen items
- Providing false contact information
- Using the platform to harass, scam, or mislead other users
- Attempting to circumvent the review/approval process
- Scraping, spamming, or abusing the platform's forms or infrastructure
Violating these may result in your account being suspended or removed.
8. Limitation of Liability
Styliq is a connector, not an insurer. We don't guarantee the condition, authenticity, or availability of any listed item, and we're not liable for disputes, damage, loss, or theft arising from a rental transaction between an Owner and a Renter. Use good judgment, communicate clearly, and document item condition at hand-off and return.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Continued use of Styliq after changes means you accept the updated terms.
Privacy Policy
1. What We Collect
- Account info: username, email address, phone number
- Listing info: item photos, name, brand, size, retail price, your address (for pickup/delivery coordination)
- Usage data: wishlist activity, booking history, reviews you write
- Technical data: IP address (used for basic spam/rate-limit protection), browser session cookies
2. How We Use It
Your phone number and address are shared with the other party in a rental transaction (Owner ↔ Renter) so hand-off can actually happen — that's the core purpose of collecting them. Your email is used for account recovery (password resets) and, if we build it in the future, notifications. We don't sell your data to third parties.
3. WhatsApp
Rental coordination happens over WhatsApp, outside of Styliq's own systems. Messages you send there are subject to WhatsApp's own privacy practices, not this policy.
4. Cookies
We use essential session cookies to keep you logged in and to protect forms from cross-site attacks (CSRF protection). We don't currently use tracking or advertising cookies.
5. Data Retention
We keep your account and listing data for as long as your account is active. If you want your account and associated data deleted, contact us directly (see Contact section below) and we'll process that request.
6. Your Rights
You can review and correct your account info at any time by contacting us. You can request a copy of the data we hold about you, or request deletion, subject to what we need to retain for legitimate business records (like completed rental history).
7. Contact
Questions about this policy or your data — reach out to us on WhatsApp at +91 92567 59965.
Rental Agreement
1. Pricing Structure
Every listed item has a daily rate (what the Renter pays per day, for the exact dates they choose) and a refundable security deposit (held as protection against damage or non-return). Both are shown clearly before you request an item. The Owner receives an agreed payout per day — Styliq keeps the difference as our service fee.
2. Payment
Payment is made directly via UPI at the time of hand-off, arranged over WhatsApp. Styliq does not hold or process this payment.
3. The Deposit
The security deposit is refunded to the Renter once the item is returned in the same condition it was rented in. "Same condition" means no visible new damage, stains, tears, or odor beyond normal wear from careful use for the rental period.
4. If an Item Is Damaged or Not Returned
If an item comes back damaged, the Owner and Renter should first try to agree on a fair resolution — partial deposit deduction, repair cost, or similar. If an item isn't returned at all, the full deposit is retained by the Owner as compensation, and Styliq may suspend the Renter's account. Styliq can help mediate a dispute if asked, but final resolution is between the two parties — we currently have no automated dispute-resolution or insurance system in place.
5. Condition at Hand-off
Both parties are encouraged to take photos of the item's condition at hand-off and at return — this protects both the Owner and the Renter if a disagreement comes up later.
6. Rental Period
You choose your exact start and end dates when requesting an item — rentals aren't limited to weekends. Extensions, if needed, should be agreed directly between Owner and Renter.
7. Reviews
After a completed rental, Renters can leave a review of the item (fit, condition, overall experience). Reviews should be honest and relevant — Styliq reserves the right to remove reviews that are abusive, spam, or clearly unrelated to the actual rental experience.
